Lean Task using Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC-400)

Description

Oracle Primavera Cloud is recognized as the most advanced system for Lean Task Planning and the Last Planner System, thanks to its powerful functionalities that enable teams to create accurate schedules and collaborate digitally in real time. This facilitates efficient project execution. One key advantage of Oracle Primavera Cloud over traditional sticky notes, like Post-its, is the digitalization and centralization of information. In Oracle Primavera Cloud, teams can collaborate in real time, share documents, track updates, and analyze information in a structured and scalable way. Sticky notes, on the other hand, are limited in storage capacity, accessibility, and traceability, especially in complex project environments.

The Lean Task module is specifically designed to support Lean and the Last Planner System, where tasks are defined based on team input while considering the constraints of the project. This approach complements traditional Critical Path Method (CPM) project planning, which often follows a rigid, sequential approach. By creating a project plan at a higher level of abstraction, daily tasks can be managed within the framework of an activity, with a focus on Lean principles. This enables the team to develop a feasible schedule aligned with what they can realistically achieve.

This course is aimed at project team members involved in creating Task Plans during Lean and Last Planner System meetings. Knowledge of Oracle Primavera Cloud or project planning is not required but is advantageous. During the course, we will focus exclusively on the Lean Task module, with a brief explanation of the planning and dashboard modules to provide a good overview.
